When I first saw this join it was beyond awful...I think fugly would be close....but I think they polished it down before I took this picture. Going to have to have a closer look at this as I think it needs more work. Comments welcome.

Caesar Stone Join...Hmmm
When I first saw this join it was beyond awful...I think fugly would be close....but I think they polished it down before I took this picture. Going to have to have a closer look at this as I think it needs more work. Comments welcome.
Tiling in Ensuite
Our main feature tile in the ensuite is now up. Very hard to photograph as the dark tile throws the automatic exposure of my camera and I haven't really drilled down in the menu to see if you can alter the exposure manually. Throw some flash in and it goes pear shaped. This picture doesn't do justice to the actual tile.
Something the tiler pointed out that the girls at Metricon Tiles didn't was the feature tile (Metallic deck) is a slightly different size to the limestone wall tile. I think we will get away with it but other layouts might not be so forgiving. Another thing to check when making your tile selection.
More Caesar Stone Pictures
Bathroom and Ensuite with Caesar stone and vanity basins installed. I've been nagging our SS about the basin placement for weeks....lol...shouldn't have bothered as the standard placement was fine. Though I have seen them placed way too far back in a Grandview display, would be next to impossible to clean behind as a result. Also I managed to move the power point mount clip today after a mutual agreement it was the easiest way by me doing it. But "shhhhh" don't tell anyone...lol.
Caesar Stone Installed
Tiling Day 7
Tiling is taking longer than I thought but happy with the result so far. If all goes well I expect it might be finished by the end of the week. Caesar stone is being installed as I type this and I'd have some photos but it was too busy on-site so I decided it was best to wait until one of the trades finish.

Main Exterior Colour
Best money I've ever spent was on a sample pot of the main exterior colour. When I applied it to some fibre board I hated it straight away. Two sample pots later we settled on a Taubmans colour called Manhattan. It is slightly darker than our roof colour which is Dune as seen in the above photo. A quick call to our SS about the colour change and I was givern the painters contact number. Gave the painter a call and was told no problem to change the colour even though he was nearly ready to start. Nice work guys!
