Double Hung Window Adjustment
As part of our 6 month warranty service we had one of the A&L Windows technicians out to adjust our double hung windows which seemed all over the shop as far as tension goes. To our surprise he found 2 of the windows had incorrect springs attached at the factory. Which explains the mismatched feel. Anyway a great guy who also explained how A&L's fly screens attach on the double hung windows...the girls on the phone failed to explain it right and nearly lost me as far as us purchasing the fly screens off A&L.

We're having the same problem with our double hung windows. One out of three seem to be looser than the others. It will interesting to see if they need to gain access to outside of the window to do the adjustment, because we have fixed security screens fitted to the outside, and to get to that side of the windows would mean removing the screens. These screens were done by A&L so it will be interesting, and shouldn't complain about it. While they are at it, I might request a window clean, as it's virtually impossible to clean from the outside.
