Catch Of The Day?

Snapped this up off catchoftheday.com.au. Maybe not to every ones taste but something different I thought....It reminds me of a scene from one of the Alien movies.

Cooktop Upgrade?

I'm thinking of upgrading the gas cooktop for this ultra sexy Siemens cooktop. The Technika is hmmm...OK but I love the flat black glass as compared to the stainless steel finish of most gas cooktops. I've been offered a $500 discount which is tempting...but it will mean cutting the Caesar stone benchtop....which I'm nervous about and could be a deal breaker.

More Kitchen Pictures

Not much to say about these pictures just some detail shots of the kitchen area. Hanging pendants are now all wired up. Not sure how the Technika appliances will perform and hold up over time, I don't have great expectations so I suppose we won't be disappointed.

We have left the Metricon supplied dishwasher in it's box to sell on eBay as we have a far better AEG dishwasher from our existing house we will move across. Anybody want to buy a cheap stainless dishwasher...lol.

Cutlery Draw

How to finish this draw had me stumped for a while, the reason? In the original Metricon design of the kitchen there was a small cupboard beside the normal draws for cutlery etc, we gave the cupboard the flick and increased the height and width of the draws loosing a draw in the process. All good so far but the new width was at odds with industry standard cutlery trays until we found this one at Kitchens Plus. Cost was around $30 and had to be cut down to fit but the finished result I think looks the part...very professional and better than the Metricon cabinet makers attempt.
